Bill Lloyd died from bowel cancer on 18 July 2007, aged 64. Bill started his cricket journey as a member of the William Cowper Street School team that won the Aston Schools Association League in both 1953 & 1954 and was still playing up until 4 weeks before he died. For more information about the man himself go to the "OFFICERS" page.
His passion for cricket was second to none and as a memorial his family, together with four eminent members of the local cricketing fraternity, decided to set up a Trust Fund to further the causes that were close to Bill's heart, notably the Development of Cricket and Cricketers at Grass Roots Level.
Dennis Amiss, the Warwickshire Cricketing Legend and former England Test Cricketer, readily agreed to serve as Honorary President and recently Gladstone Small, both a member of the triumphant Warwickshire treble winning 1994 squad, and an Ashes winning England Test Cricketer, has become a Vice-President.
